The Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce partners to positively impact a strong, vibrant and growing Private Sector.

COLLABORATION

Through a collective voice based on consultation, the sharing of information, and collaboration we function as a unit.

INNOVATIVE

We strive to be innovative, to learn from, and support our members through standards of excellence in all areas of the chamber business.

A Brief History

The Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce was founded on the 24th of November, 2004. We are the youngest Chamber in Guyana in terms of being established and membership.

The Central Corentyne district spans from Borlam Turn to Number 43 Village. We are a non-political, non-religious, non-partisan organization, willing to work with any organization whose focus is the development of Berbice and Guyana. As such the Chamber is forging its own path in uncharted territory, with great success.

It is our fervent belief that success in business does not mean making money alone, but that we have a responsibility to give something back to address the needs of the community.

Some of our plans for the future include projects like the establishment of an industrial site in the Central Corentyne area, a fire station, establishment of a municipal airport, improving sanitation and garbage disposal by running cleanup campaign and installing garbage bins around the community.

The Berbice Expo and Trade Fair is the brain child of the Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce. This event provides an opportunity for smaller businesses to identify who the market leaders are in their respective fields, to learn from their experience, and to emulate their success. This is particularly relevant to local business entities, especially in light of the CARICOM Single Market & Economy.
