Nand Persaud & Company Limited

Nand Persaud and Company Ltd. was founded in February 1992 by Mr. Nand Persaud and his two sons, Ragindra Persaud and Mohindra Persaud. Operations began with a one-ton per hour rice mill under the bottom house of Mr. Nand Persaud.

Today, Nand Persaud & Company Ltd. is famously known as the home of Karibee Rice. We currently have approximately 175 persons, directly and indirectly, working 24/7/365. We have FDA and other quality certifications. We are presently operating under ISO 22000:2018 Standards.

Nand Persaud and Company Ltd. exports rice to the Caribbean, North America and European countries.

The company has received many national and international awards, notably the Green Exporter of the year Award 2014, Special Award for being the Exporter of the Year 2016 by the Caribbean Export Development Agency and the European Union and more recently, the Customer Service, Manufacturing and Environmental Initiatives, Manufacturing Awards from the GNBS National Quality Awards (NQA) Programme 2021.

Nand Persaud Group has diversified its operations into various other companies that cater for the needs of customers. Our group of companies include:

❖Nand Persaud & Company Limited – which comprises of:

• Nand Persaud Fertilizers – this venture was launched in 2009 to provide access to reliable and affordable fertilizers & pesticides to farmers.
• Nand Persaud Agricultural Machinery Department – is a premier source of spares for a wide range of agricultural equipment and machinery.
• Nand Persaud Wholesale & Retail Outlets – In 2014 the first of two Wholesale & Retail Outlets was created. These outlets have an extensive inventory – from power tools to stationery. The second outlet location was opened in 2017.
• We recently started importing trucks for sale, we have DAF-CF-85, DAF-CF 75 and DAF 75

❖Amazonia Rice Investment Inc. – this entity was launched in 2013 and produces and packages rice in high quality for the local and international markets.

❖Flexotech Inc. – launched in 2016, is a polymer manufacturing company offering products to a wide range of industries within Guyana, and the CARICOM single market. 

❖NPG Packaging and Plastic Inc. – was founded in 2005 and is engaged in printing and selling poly bags, twine, rubber rolls, and plastic bags of various types and sizes

❖Plastific Inc. – was established in 2017 and manufactures everyday items including an extensive list of biodegradable cutlery, boxes, and dishware for household or corporate use.

❖Nand Persaud International Communications Inc. (NPIC) – was established in 2001 and is the first locally-owned and operated near-shore contact centre that boasts a wide portfolio of international clients

❖Green Power Solutions Inc. –  created in 2017, this company drives the modernization of Guyana’s energy consumption. It aims to be an industry leader in the shift towards renewable energy, particularly solar energy with the ability to enter into other renewable energy.

❖First Global Money (Guyana) Inc. – is a company incorporated under the laws of Guyana operating in the Money Remittances sector since 2003. The newest addition will be an electronic wallet.

❖Florida Gold Foods LLC – this rice milling facility is located in the heart of central Florida and is equipped to service our North American customers
